| What do I need to bring along with my pet? Besides documentation of current vaccinations, nothing is required. Many of our guests arrive with just the fur on their backs! If your pet is on medication, dietary supplements or a prescription diet please bring the necessary supplies and be prepared to provide detailed instructions. If you prefer to, you may provide your pet's own food. Hilltop proudly serves Nature's Select, super-premium, all natural pet foods. It is acceptable to bring comfort items such as a toy, a bed, or treats. NOTE: Bedding is acceptable, but will be managed on an individual case basis per our judgement. |

| What vaccinations are required? Please inform your pet's doctor that the animal will be boarded so that they may provide the best possible veterinary advice to you for your pet. Canines: Rabies, Distemper 'combination' , e.g. DHLPP, and Bordetella vaccines documented current within the previous 12 months. NOTE: Some veterinarians recommend the Bordetella vaccine on a 6 month interval. Felines: Rabies and FVRCP documented current within previous 12 months are required. FeLV (feline leukemia virus) is recommended. Special Exceptions: Hilltop conforms to PCSA guidelines and will adhere to your veterinarian's advice specific to your pet. For example, your vet may perform a blood titer to analyze immunity to certain diseases an advise against specific vaccines. Some veterinarians are now using a 3 year distemper vaccination for mature dogs. Puppies and kittens are accepted after having at a minimum their first round of vaccinations. This must include a Bordetella vaccine for your young dog. |
